Government Shutdown Impacts Immigration Courts

The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the immigration court run by the Justice Department, is impacted by the government shutdown.  At this point, all Immigration Judges are furloughed except for some judges who are working without pay to hear cases of immigrants who are in detention.

This means that all Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings for non-detained immigrants will be cancelled and rescheduled at a later date.
